Handwoven in silk, this wide-leg trouser features a single pleat at the waist and pockets for utility.
Matka silk is a handspun, handwoven textile from Bengal. It is woven from the cocoon fibres of the Bombyx mori silkworm that feed on mulberry leaves. It is considered a 'non-violent' silk as the fibre is extracted only after the silkworm has left the cocoon, leaving behind shorter fibres that give the textile its wool-like grain and rich matte finish.
A highly breathable handmade textile, matka silk naturally adapts to the body's temperature. Available in various thicknesses and grains, matka silk ages beautifully over time.
