10 years of brocade

Payal has always had a deep admiration for brocade, and to celebrate this passion, she launched her debut brocade collection in 2014. Ever since, these regal fabrics have been integral to our brand’s identity. Payal continues to design festive garments in her hallmark silhouettes while keeping the beauty of the craft front and centre.

"For 30 years, Stephen Fernandes has been vegetarian. Every afternoon, he has one green vegetable made by his son Joel at Gable’s, his father’s restaurant. "

This series is a part of an ongoing collaboration between BOMBAYWALLA and PAYAL KHANDWALA. It showcases the people, places, and spaces of an older Bombay adapting to and living in New Mumbai.
